People often assume that a feminist is a radical liberal woman who burns bras (no need to update that 30 year old stereotype), has dabbled in lesbianism, promotes abortions by having them, and who hates men because they are the root of all evil. This is not the case for the majority of feminists. There are some radicals, but the majority of feminists recognize that women still are not treated equally within our larger society and that something should be done to fix that. Feminism is not just for women, nor do all feminists hate men. Feminism is a state of mind that often leads to action. This is a state of mind that can be held by anyone. Sometimes the dictionary can bring us back to what's essential.
